Location
Situated half-an-hour east of downtown Portland, in Gresham, Oregon, Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) required a lighting solution for a high-traffic multi-use pathway through its campus. The pathway offers access to a public right-of-way with a transit shelter from Portland’s transportation authority, Trimet. Working with Trimet and the college, Urban Solar tailored a solution that provides safe illumination for students and faculty after sunset, all year long.

MHCC selected the SLL series, eliminating the need for trenching and grid power connection. Even throughout cloudy Pacific Northwest winters, MHCC has been satisfied with the bright, reliable output that the SLL provides, and its real-time monitoring capabilities and smart controller have offers them unmatched flexibility and control.
