Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators

Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators

Investing in our future means more than developing sustainable infrastructure and technologies–it also means fostering the next generation’s potential to discover and create new ways to move the world forward. That’s why Urban Solar is so excited to be a supporting sponsor at this important and engaging event, hosted by St. Margaret’s School in Victoria, B.C. The Girls’ STEM Leadership Conference runs from April 25th to 26th 2019.

Featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Sarika Cullis-Suzuki, the conference is an opportunity to inspire future leaders in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and encourages girls in grades 7 through 10 from across Southern Vancouver Island to engage with one another and pursue their interests in subjects including green innovation and environmental stewardship. With about 400 students in attendance, from both public and private schools, it’s a great opportunity to share ideas and stoke curiosity in these fields.

We’re proud to be a part of the conference’s mission to support tomorrow’s scientists and engineers, and look forward to being involved in this year’s event.
